Clove bud oil is widely used in aromatherapy because of its many medicinal benefits. The oil is steam distilled from the flowering buds of the clove tree. Generally, this pale yellow/golden brown liquid is comprised of 85% Eugenol mixed with several other compounds, particularly B- Caryophyllene and Eugenyl Acetate.

Clove is most commonly recognized for its use in dental and oral hygiene products, due to its ability to kill bacteria while relieving pain. Clove also inhibits further bacteria growth, making it a popular natural acne treatment as it treats both the symptoms and the root cause. It is also used to boost the immune system, increase blood circulation, aid in digestion, prevent ulcers, and much more.

In the flavor and fragrance industries, clove oil is used widely for its spicy and fragrance and flavors, which adds depth and warmth to any product to which its added.
