Olibanum
Olibanum, otherwise known as frankincense, originates from the “Horn of Africia” which typically refers to Somalia and Ethiopia.
Sap from the Olibanum tree is collected, and sold to extraction companies in the form of dry “tears.” Olibanum tears can be steam distilled into an essential oil, or extracted with alcohol into a resinoid.
