Several species of the Tagetes genus are grown for various applications, from flavor and fragrance to pest repellents. However Tagette Oil is typically made from the Tagetes minuta, a variation of the common Marigold.
The production of this essential oil is most commonly done in South America, where the plant originated. In the F&F space, Tagette Oil produces a medium strength – herbal, fruity and floral smell, with a more terpenic and resinous flavor.
